RPM range can be improve by selecting a different design of pipe.

50% is not an exaggerated value. This older version, 35 MATHE Competition   

will produce a minimum of  6hp at 15000+ RPM. However as always with any 

2stroke engines, there's a trade-off of less torque for increased RPM! The Mathe

 engines are somewhat heavy compared to today's standards of lighter high output engines.
